Emma Grabs Bronze At The Odyssey

Large numbers of local aspiring young athletes had the opportunity to sample life in the fast lane at last weekend’s Irish Indoor Athletics Championships held at the Odyssey Arena in Belfast.
While the action was primarily centred on the elite athletes from all over Europe, there were also large amounts of children from throughout Ireland participating in the Phoenix Olympic Flames Age Group Championships.
Amongst those who caught the eye was Emma Leckey from Lagan Valley Athletics Club. Emma picked up the bronze medal in the highly competitive 60 metres sprint.
